Ultra-Low Temperature Refrigeration
If you have a cold room or you are using ultra-low refrigeration in a commercial business, a medical or a scientific laboratory you’ll need reliable and affordable appliances.
Ultra-low refrigeration can be achieved by using a cascade system. A cascade refrigeration system has several cycles which are layered above each other forming a cascade. It is a two-stage process which uses two types of refrigerant which pass through a high and then a low stage. It is this system which enables the appliance to obtain temperatures from -50° down to -120°.
It’s unlike a traditional fridge where there is one refrigeration cycle. The temperature here is also cooled with the help of the refrigerant and the compressor. But, without the cascade system the appliance doesn’t give you ultra-low temperatures.
The benefits of cascade refrigeration include:
Lower Running Costs – This is due to the fact that the system uses less energy per ton of refrigeration. It also means that part loads are also energy efficient, unlike traditional refrigeration which works better when fully loaded.
Environmentally Friendly – The refrigerant used in many cascade systems are low ozone depleting liquids which are non-toxic.
Low Maintenance – Cascade refrigeration isn’t difficult to install, it’s powerful, reliable and its low maintenance.
